ABOUT
Located in the village of Régnié-Durette, Antoine Sunier’s wines are some of the most powerful yet graceful expressions of the Gamay variety being produced in Beaujolais today. Antoine previously worked in telecommunications but later decided to join his brother (Julien Sunier) in becoming a winemaker. His first vintage came in 2014, following the acquisition of two parcels of AOC Régnié (2.7 Ha) and AOC Morgon (1.2 Ha). The vineyards are farmed organically, the grapes harvested by hand, and vinification remains sulphur-free until bottling, producing irresistible wines that are structured yet delicately crafted. Antoine previously gained valuable work experience in Burgundy and now uses only used oak barrels to age his wines after a period in epoxy-lined concrete tanks, allowing the wines to retain a vibrant minerality and youthful aromatic profile.
