ABOUT
The wild and untouched region of Corbières, Southern France, is home to ‘Les Deux Clés’ (Two Keys) in the village of Fontjoncouse. This charming estate was named by owners Florien and Gaelle. The terroir here is unique; the limestone and clay soils and specific microclimate result in wonderfully fresh wines, made predominantly from Carignan, Grenache and Syrah. They also produce an impressive white, made from Macabeu, Grenache Blanc and Vermentino. The vineyards reach an elevation of 300m, gifting the wines with an acidic backbone and excellent structure for ageing. Florian and Gaelle are meticulous followers of the lunar cycle, with biodynamic viticulture and minimal use of sulphur at the heart of their hard work. Their oldest vines are well over 100 years old, these ‘old ladies’ (as Gaelle calls them) are carefully cultivated to ensure they produce the best possible fruit.
